Gloria Carter-Hicks is the president, CEO, and owner of Hicks-Carter-Hicks, LLC, an award-winning,
full-service performance improvement company. Gloria is a results-oriented executive with a successful business career and over 25 years of experience. She uses her experience as a human resource professional, consultant, and business owner to enhance clients’ business performance and organizational results. She is recognized as a driving force in Human Resources, Management Consulting, Executive Coaching, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Learning & Development, and Organizational Development. Gloria is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the International Coaching Federation, and the St. Louis Forum, an organization for women executives.
Gloria has given many keynote presentations on leadership development, change management, DEI, and various topics. She has also written and published articles related to her areas of expertise and featured in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, The St. Louis American, Minority Business News USA, MBE Magazine, and St. Louis Small Business Monthly.
Gloria graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where she served as a part-time instructor of diversity, leadership development, and HR courses in the School of Continuing Education and Outreach. In addition, Gloria is a graduate of the prestigious Leadership St. Louis (LSL) program and the Tuck Executive Education certificate program at Dartmouth College, Building a High-Performing Minority Business.
Aaron Van Groningen, Ph.D., is a senior consultant on the Hicks-Carter-Hicks team. Aaron has expertise in organizational development, training, data collection, and employee well-being, which he uses to enhance individual, team, and organizational effectiveness. He draws on industry best practices, academic research, and years of experience to help organizations understand their current state, develop their desired future state, and craft initiatives designed to move the organization forward. Aaron earned his Ph.D. from Saint Louis University in industrial-organizational psychology, where his specialty areas were organizational development, organizational learning, and change management. He was also a part of the Organizational Health Initiative laboratory, where he conducted and published research on creating highly effective and psychologically healthy workplaces.
Maya Gann-Bociek, Ph.D., is a consultant and analyst on the Hicks-Carter-Hicks team. Maya is a graduate of Saint Louis University with expertise in organizational development, research methodology and statistical analysis, organizational assessment, training, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). As a professional with the latest industrial/organizational (I/O) psychology education and training and a thorough understanding of contemporary evidence-based practices, Maya brings a fresh perspective to clients while using the latest I/O psychology methodologies. Maya has worked with various local, national, and international organizations as a consultant and analyst to help companies meet their goals and business objectives.
Rachel Burse is a senior consultant on the Hicks-Carter-Hicks team. Rachel has experience strategically partnering with organizations to provide targeted Human Resources services designed to engage the workforce, promote change, and reduce costs. Rachel’s experience working with various non- and for-profit organizations has given her many opportunities to develop skills in multiple areas such as change management, collaboration, and evidence-based initiative design and implementation. Additionally, she holds a variety of certifications in the field of Human Resources, which she leverages to provide innovative solutions for clients. A graduate of Columbia College and a Certified Compensation Professional, she is an active member of national and local SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management).
Jill Wenglikowski (Project Coordinator) graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in communications management. Jill has over 25 years of communication and administrative expertise in coordinating project logistics and tasks and handling and synthesizing electronic communications associated with consulting and training projects. Additionally, Jill’s experience includes interfacing with clients and providing administrative support.
